Graduating high school and diving into college at the tender age of 16 was a pretty big deal for me—definitely a badge of honor I wear proudly. But let’s be real: it took me a whopping ten years to finally get that college degree. Life threw me a few curveballs, and my mom often joked that I’d be in college forever. At one point, I was pretty sure I had tried every major under the sun! I started with dreams of becoming a dental hygienist, thinking I’d be the hero who helps people smile. But then I realized that spending my days digging around in strangers’ mouths was not exactly my idea of a good time. 

I also dabbled with the idea of becoming an orthotic prosthetic practitioner, and my mom had her heart set on me becoming some kind of counselor or therapist. I mean, who wouldn’t want to solve everyone’s problems, right? But as I wandered through all these paths, I found myself more lost than a sock in a dryer.

Then came the fateful day I stumbled into the world of esthetics, largely inspired by my mom’s best friend who was already in the field. I thought, “Why not? I need something to do while I figure out my life!” Little did I know that this would be one of the best decisions I ever made. The esthetics program was not only fun but also short—definitely a refreshing change from my decade-long college saga!

Now, don’t get me wrong; my journey hasn’t always been a walk in the park. I’ve had to leap over quite a few flaming hoops to get where I am today. But looking back, I can honestly say this career has become my true passion. I get to help people feel amazing about themselves, both inside and out. Recently, I added another feather to my cap by earning my electrologist license, which has allowed me to help even more people boost their confidence. There’s nothing quite like receiving texts from clients telling me how I’ve changed their lives—it’s like getting a warm hug from the universe!

I’m all about lifelong learning, and I make it a point to keep up with the latest trends in my field through advanced training. Each treatment I offer is custom-tailored to fit my clients’ unique needs because everyone deserves to feel special.

So here I am, living my dream and loving every minute of it—who knew that helping people feel fabulous could be this fulfilling?
